“I love that I now spend my days building up my team of wonderful carers and talking to owners about their beloved dogs… and of course being able to spend far more time with my lovely Luna!“

“It was always my dream to care for dogs, but somehow working in or running a boarding kennel never really seemed the right thing for me.
As I have always owned rescue greyhounds that had spent the first half of their lives in a kennel, I never felt comfortable putting them back there when I went away. It was whilst looking for an alternative for my dog, Luna that I first came across Wagging Tails.
I then noticed on the website that they were looking for franchisees to become part of the Wagging Tails team, so I made an initial enquiry and was thrilled to learn the GU area where I live was available. When I first met Lisa and Jim it became clear to me very quickly that these were the sort of people I wanted to work with….it’s all about the dogs and making sure they have the best holiday home possible.
Having spent the previous 22 years of my career in the Optical industry, I realised that whilst I loved dogs and have always taken a keen interest in learning about different breeds, training and welfare…..I was going to need some help to set up my own business! Having worked within the franchise sector in a previous role, I realised a franchise could give me the opportunity to run my business whilst having the support of a tried and tested method.
That’s where Lisa’s expertise and guidance have been exceptional. The training and support to set up my business was brilliant and all the systems and procedures were in place ready for me to get going. Having Lisa on the end of the telephone is a huge reassurance and she is always available to give advice about any aspect of the business.
I love that I now spend my days building up my team of wonderful carers and talking to owners about their beloved dogs… and of course being able to spend far more time with my lovely Luna!”
