Throughout 2013 pet franchise Wagging Tails will be supporting Hounds for Heroes with the aim of raising valuable funds and awareness for the charity.
Hounds for Heroes’ purpose is to provide specially trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled men and women of both the UK Armed forces and Civilian Emergency Services. Having recently visited the charity, Wagging Tails’ Director Jim Suswain stated “The work undertaken by Allen Parton and his team is incredible and the impact their dogs can have on their owners is truly life changing. They are an inspirational organisation who are trying to help injured members of the Armed Forces and Emergency Services regain their independence and we are keen to support them in any way we can.”
Starting with the Bath and Reading Half Marathons in March Wagging Tails’ support for the charity will include Jim running a number of events as Wagging Tails mascot “Bernie the St Bernard”, fund raising at regional county shows throughout the year and a section on their website dedicated to Hounds for Heroes.
