Lena has previously enjoyed a career as a professional opera singer and has also spent time working in the City both of which required long hours and a considerable amount of travel. Lena’s decision to join Wagging Tails was made with the aim of balancing working life with her family life, enabling her to spend more time with her daughter and allowing her to welcome Greta into their family.

“For many years I worked long hours in the city, which didn’t allow me to have a dog, so I put off my plans until the time was right.

I decided to move to the Sussex countryside as part of my plan to change my lifestyle, but I still had to travel with work which meant my dog ownership plans remained on hold, as I didn’t want to use kennels when I went away. I started looking for a career where my passion for dogs would be fulfilled. I was very lucky to find Wagging Tails, who shared my passion and care for dogs.

I recently found my perfect companion called Greta (pictured), a Golden Retriever who is full of life and loves everyone she meets. Not only do I get to enjoy my work with her by my side every day, I can also have the peace of mind knowing she will be well cared for when I go away!”
